A Mission for all you MeGa decorators......PIMP my Room....Please!!
NO such luck! I just have been sooo focused on My Charms & Recipe cards for some swaps I am doing....I just can't seem to get my head around all the things I need to do. You know how it is???? PLUS my Camrea has passed on to the great beyond! I miss it!
I am going to turn 50 this year & I don't know......I seem so frazzled & spacy lately AND MOODY....I know I am doing the "Change of Life thing...BUT IS this part of it??? I can't even stand myself!! MY poor Hubby....He is my FAVORITE person in the world & I HATE being mean to him!...& MY poor kids... Ditto for them...I HEART them!
If any one has some suggentions PLEASE, PLEASE LET me know!
ANYWHOOOOO...
MY next BIG project is this ROOM> I have had it the same way for 17 years AND I NEED A CHANGE!!!
HELP!
Wonder though & let me know what you think.
My room is the perfect size...NOT TO big & NOT too Small.
It is cozy in the winter & cuddly in the summer....I JUST HATE IT!
The bed is over the garage & the sitting area is over the Family room. WE purposely DID NOT put a TV in the bed area....We BOTH felt that the bed should be JUST for us & OUR OWN space. We did not want to invite the world or at least Jay Leno into our bed.
BUTTTTT I LOVES my TV!
SOOO I had to have one in my room.
There are a FEW THINGS that have to stay....OK a LOT of things that have to stay....
Because of Budget reasons & because I LOVE them!
ONE the BED...I love THE bed & am not apposed to painting it...THE ugly A carpet...NOT in the budget! THE Dressing table...THE 2 lamps on my dressing table... MY granny bags hanging on the shelf...THE TV!!! THE mirror, THE blue blinds( Kevys request) I am kinda fond of the slim blue lamps by my bed & couch but will need matching shades.....THE Ceiling Fan( Kevys other request). MY Family Pictures....MY couch...NOT!!! that's the first thing to go!!
All others can take a HIKE!!
I love the shabby chic look..... You know, fur rugs, PILLOWS, chenille spreads, Quilts, Creams, blue, turquoise, butter yellow, black, a pinch of red, easy on the LACE & Flowers, overstuffed chair & Ottoman....ect
SO there's your assignment... & MINE this summer...to PIMP my room! on a BUDGET!
I really would LOVE some help & WILL BE looking out for some shabby chic finds at yard sales & such, this summer. I will post LOTS of pictures & get your feed back & what you all think of a certain Idea! I NEED HELP PEOPLE!!! SO please don't stay quite on me!
1st THING....
Decide colors...it's got to go with my BLUE color....I was thinking Brown & BLUE & turquoise? WHAT Do you think?
2nd THING: MY couch....What do you all think of a DAYBED????
PAINT or WALLPAPER?

My latest Valentines charms & a couple of other crafts!
That is my oh so cute grandson Gavin & his Papa working on the cars for the pinewood derby set to race this Friday. The boys & papa have a plan......Papa gets to relive his dreams of winning a pinewood derby AND the boys get to take the credit for the awesome cars PAPA made!!SIDE
NOTE: I just noticed "KOOJOO" laying on the rug in this first picture!! That really ia my "grandpuppy" Zoe...She really is a lovey dovey dog & has no "koojo" in her...you know..."koojo"?...the killer CRAZY dog from the Stephen King novel....NO? Nothing? FUNNY Story Zoe Zoe is 1/2 in love with Papa(Kevy) & my son in law Cory!....
Anyway that's my boys craftin!
I signed up for 3 Valentines charms spots in the swaps @ 2peas. One was the
"Hard" valentines, meaning any textile EXCEPT fabric or paper, the other 1 was 2 spots on the Fiber charms. These first pictures are of my "mini...tiny.....teeny picture frame. It was made out of red "pleather" & a tiny heart button. I stitched around the inside with white thread. And put a back piece on & stitched it closed with clear thread. I left an opening at the top, so you can slide in a TEENY TINY
This next picture is of my Cupcakes for the "Hard" valentines swap. I just molded a cupcake out of some polymer clay & baked as directed & added a tag (made out of good old fashioned shrinky dink stuff!)...that is super hard to read.....BUT it says:
These next pictures are what the "Sisterhood of the traveling paints" made for our Feb. craft.
This last craft is just a little something I threw together! I was forced to "scrape book" my own plain...ugly ......clipboard!! I had been after shilo @ Toadly crafty to do it for me...but she was just toooooooooo busy! So I did it myself.......not bad if I do say so myself!
One side has chalk board paint & the other side has a magnetic board.
SO Toady......I don't need your mad scrape book skills.....I got a few of my own!!!

BEST "craig's list" find EVER!!! You gotta check it out!!
And even that was debatable! SOOO periodically I would check KSL.com AND craigs list AND even went to garage sales all summer long on the look out for a NICE used couch & love seat set. Trust me when I say it was HOPELESS! First of all my budget was at the MOST $200.00! I know.....I know....why would I think that I could find even a decent couch for that price...what was I thinking?!!
One morning while on my comp. I felt really strongly to check the classified on KSL.... (I have to say, I know where this feeling was coming from!) brushing it off as wishful thinking...I ignored it!

To Rosie ....from RoSiE
"Paper Salad" to do it...like I mean it!
SO I have just garage saled/thrift stored/had it donated/Pity gifted it for years!
And for some reason....I am content to just pretty much keep it in the kitchen!
BUT Kevy did have a good point...the colors were a little off AND I HAD insisted it stayed the same....I have seen many off these spray painted all white or same color, while still cute, I was just in love with the bold colors and did NOT want to change a thing! SO in a way...Kevy was right.....It does sooo do much for our gazebo. OUR HAPPY little gazebo!
The rest are just some random picture of my kitchen. My camera is not the best (just Star's cell phone) AND I did try to take pictures AROUND my clutter!
It was BY far the most I have paid for a piece of metal....$89.00, but worth every penny!(Tippetts Kids don't get any ideas...this thing is getting buried W/me!)
